Easily approachable and centrally located, The Cavalry is a boutique Homestay that provides with a homely atmosphere which will put you at ease the moment you step in. It will acquaint you with the complete history of Udaipur and places nearby. The rooms are maintained with great care ensuring the best levels comfort and luxury. The food which is fixed by a weekly menu, is prepared under the personal supervision of the members of the family and is made with great care and cleanliness.
Safety & Care
The Cavalry is the family home of Colonel Udai Bhan Singh (retired) and the family lives on site. Guests are looked after personally by their hosts, from arrival to departure.
The house sits within a private, gated and secure compound. The gates are closed and locked each night, so both guests and their vehicles, parked within the compound are safe. Visitors are welcomed in the lobby and courtyard rather than in guest rooms. This is one reason families and women travelling alone tell us they feel at ease here.
Every room is cleaned thoroughly between stays and kept to the standard our guests mention most often in their reviews.

The house in itself boasts of rich history of Mewar dating back to the 8th Century when Mewar came into being at behest of Bapa Rawal. The traditions of Mewar are still followed in Abhay Niwas from generations to generations and is proud of its ancestors like Maharana Sangram Singhji (popularly known as Maharana Sanga), Maharana Udai Singh and Maharana Pratap.
